What do you do at WebLux?
I am often the MacGyver of the WebLux team, making sure that our computers and servers are all up and running properly, as well as providing technical assistance and planning. I enjoy helping our customers find new ways for technology to make their lives easier. I also enjoy communicating with our development staff and helping to produce a coherent and elegant solution that goes beyond just a website. As an original member of WebLux and as an adviser to many other businesses, I provide strategic technical guidance to keep us competitive.
Favorite portfolio piece?
We have had many great projects that we put out, but the one I had the most fun with was for BITS. Being a partner in both companies I was able to go through this project not only as a a team member of WebLux, but also as the client as BITS. The process was definitely something unique; it was truly a collaboration to achieve our final vision.
How did you get into all of this?
I’ve always had a fascination with computers and technology. At the age of 5 I built my first computer out of car stereos, a TV and a typewriter. Forget Intel inside, it had imagination inside. My love of technology and logical systems earned me a reputation in high school for assisting school faculty, friends, and community members at large. While earning my degree in mathematics, this hobby evolved into a career, providing tech support on campus while supporting a number of business clients independently.
